Education Rebuilt

In 2018 the 1st & 2nd EPA.L. Agia Paraskevi relocates to a new state of the art building after 20+ years of being in an unsuitable and ready to fall apart one. The situation got so bad that the students where literally hanging out with the chickens next to the building and as the principal of the school council told us they actually felt like they themselves where the chickens. The construction of the new building was held up since the original contractor "ran out of money" and thus the building was abandoned mid construction, the building stayed in this stage for more than 5 years where it was looted and vandalized. The situation had reached an impasse and so the students decided to step up and speak directly to the mayor resulting in getting heard by the secondary school administration, so years later a second contractor was hired to complete this project and finally put into operation.

In 2006, millionaire Charlotte Böhringer (†59) was found beaten to death in her penthouse flat above the Isar car park in Munich. Her nephew Benedikt Toth was convicted of murder for greed and sentenced to life imprisonment for a particularly serious offence. The verdict was controversial from the outset as it was based solely on circumstantial evidence. The instrument of the offence could not be identified.

Kekoa

The film tells the inspiring story of a 50-foot wooden catamaran named Kekoa. Built by brothers Jamison and Ryan Witbeck, Kekoa faced numerous challenges, including being lost at sea and severely damaged by Hurricane Irma in 2017.

Zakynthos is a Greek island on the Ionian Sea famed for its beauty. It also has the unique distinction of having saved all 275 of its Jewish inhabitants during WWII. In this compelling story, Haim Konstantini, one of the survivors, narrates how the islanders united to ensure the survival of their Jewish population. Two key figures instrumental to the story were Mr. Loukas Kerreri, Mayor of Zakynthos’ capital, and Bishop Chrysostomos, who both refused to list the island’s Jews for the occupying Nazis. They have been recognized as Righteous Among the Nations at Yad Vashem for their bravery.
