Pimp My Ride

Pimp My Ride is a TV show produced by MTV. Each episode consists of taking one car in poor condition and restoring it, as well as customizing it. The original American version was hosted by rapper Xzibit. Recently, MTV2 has begun airing episodes from Pimp My Ride UK hosted by DJ Tim Westwood, which features cars being customised in the UK, and Pimp My Ride International, featuring cars in central Europe, hosted by hip hop artists Fat Joe and Lil' Jon, as well as the related CMT series Trick My Truck.

Carpocalypse

Carpocalypse was a TV show on Spike TV that focused on the daily drama of how a motley crew of crash addicted racers join together to compete in some of the craziest races ever caught on tape. It premiered on March 5, 2005. The show is based on races held twice a year at Orlando Speedworld's Crash-A-Rama series.

Xtreme 4x4

Xtreme 4x4 is a half hour series airing on Spike TV that began in January 2005 as part of Spike's weekend Powerblock line up. The show uses a how-to format, where the hosts build or modify vehicles in order to turn them into off-road-oriented rigs. They also periodically show various forms of off-road racing from across the United States. These include such events as rock crawling, desert racing, sand drags, mud racing, and trail riding adventures. The hosts, Ian Johnson and Jessi Combs, were selected as part of a publicized, nationwide search for hosts where viewers were encouraged to send in their videos and resumes to Spike TV executives. Both hosts have appeared on other automotive shows including Discovery Channel's Monster Garage and TLC's Overhaulin'.

Ride with Funkmaster Flex

Ride with Funkmaster Flex is a TV show that was produced by MTV Networks. The show aired from 2003–2004, lasting approximately one year. and was originally shown on Spike TV and RedMoxie. It was also broadcast on MuchMusic and ESPN with licensing agreement to MTV Networks.

Wheeler Dealers

Experienced car dealer Mike Brewer is joined by multi-talented mechanics in a monumental motoring mission: to find and restore iconic cars to later sell for a profit at their LA-based shop. In the series, Mike has the challenging job of finding vehicles that have money-making potential. He then hands them over to a mechanic, who tackles everything from bare metal re-sprays to gearbox swaps to bring them back to their former glory.

Flipping Bangers

The programme follows petrol head friends, Will Trickett and GT Porsche photographer, Gus Gregory, as they fix and 'flip' neglected old cars for a profit. Having ditched their day jobs to trade in the cars that people avoid, they're risking it all as any losses will come out of their own pockets. To cover any overheads, they must double their return on every pound invested in the vehicles they buy.
