Produced by Authentic Entertainment, the program features various paranormal subjects around the world, especially cryptozoological creatures and haunted locations around the world. The series is narrated by Don Wildman, who also hosts and narrates the History channel's documentary television series Cities of the Underworld and Travel Channel's Off Limits.

Fact or Faked: Paranormal Files is a paranormal investigation series produced by Base Productions that began airing July 15, 2010, on SyFy. The show follows a team of investigators, led by former FBI agent Ben Hansen, who review various photographs and viral videos of alleged paranormal activity. If a particular piece of evidence is deemed intriguing enough to warrant further investigation, they set out to recreate and explain the sighting. Beginning episode #207 in first-half of season two, the show began to feature a "You Decide" segment in the middle of the program where a video is shown of something strange and then asks the viewing audience if they think the footage is fact or faked. After a commercial break the truth behind the video is revealed.
In Search of... is a TV series that was broadcast weekly from 1977 to 1982, devoted to mysterious phenomena. It was created after the success of three one-hour TV documentaries produced by creator Alan Landsburg: In Search of Ancient Astronauts in 1973, In Search of Ancient Mysteries and The Outer Space Connection, both in 1975. The program was produced by Triage Entertainment for the Fox Family Channel, which is now ABC Family and owns the rights to the show. Sightings is an American paranormal and news television series that originally aired from April 17, 1992 to August 1, 1997. The program began as a special titled The UFO Report: Sightings on October 18, 1991. The original Concept Creator and Supervising Producer of that hour special produced by Paramount for Fox TV was Linda Moulton Howe, an Emmy Award-winning TV producer and documentary filmmaker of TV specials about science and the environment. One of her Emmy award-winning broadcasts was A Strange Harvest, about the worldwide animal-mutilation mystery linked by law enforcement to extraterrestrial biological entities.
Fortean TV was a British paranormal documentary television series that originally aired from January 29, 1997 to March 6, 1998 on Channel 4. Produced by Rapido TV, the program features anomalous phenomena and the paranormal. It was based upon the Fortean Times magazine and was presented by Reverend Lionel Fanthorpe. Fortean TV ran for 3 series. The three seasons comprised: 22 half-hour episodes, plus a final hour-long family Christmas special. Series 1 contained 9 unique episodes, broadcast on Wedneday evenings, with a final tenth "Best Of" the following week to round off the season. Series 2 contained 8 unique episodes, beginning again the following January, broadcast now on Friday evenings. Fortean TV Uncut - a short four-episode adult spin-off series with unseen material from the previous two series as well as new items - immediately followed, now back on Wedneday evenings.
