The protagonist is overworked and always exhausted by daily life, and yearns for comfort and solace. They want to be kindly praised and healed. They think, "Children have it nice because they're spoiled." The protagonist wants to escape from reality, and so they go to a store and purchase a blue pacifier. When they put the pacifier in their mouth, it emits a strange light, and it magically transports the protagonist to another world. The protagonist is now in the body of a five-year-old child, and spends time at a day care center where there are many handsome men who are caregivers there. The caregivers use the "There, There Magic" to soothe the children at the day care center.

Belle and Sebastian is an anime adaption of a series of French novels called Belle et Sébastien by Cécile Aubry. The series ran on the Japanese network NHK from April 7, 1981 – June 22, 1982. It consists of 52 episodes and was a co-production of MK Company, Visual 80 Productions and Toho Company, Ltd.. Toshiyuki Kashiwakura was the head writer and character designs were by Shuichi Seki. Domo-kun

Domo-kun is a cartoon co-produced between Japanese public broadcaster NHK and Nickelodeon, featuring NHK's mascot character, Domo-kun. The animation was tentatively scheduled to air in the United States and Japan in Fall 2007. The initial order for the series is 26 episodes, with each episode being two minutes long. In the American version of Domo-kun, Nickelodeon deleted the voices of all characters except Domo-kun. Domo-kun's speech remained in Japanese and there was never any intention by Nickelodeon to translate it into English. The TV series was released on two DVDs on July 29, 2009, individually or as a three-disc box set. The series has been released in Japan on DVD in Japanese only.
