It differs from the other Skippy series as it is animated and features anthropomorphic characters. Skippy, for example, is a kangaroo who wears a baseball cap.

The somewhat peculiar Hotta family runs Tokyo Bandwagon, a secondhand bookstore and cafe in the old part of Tokyo. They are a big four-generation family that is rare these days. Ao is an irresistible playboy to females due to the gap between his frivolous behaviour and occasional melancholic expressions, but then he encounters university student Makino Suzumi and falls deeply in love with her.

The Adventures of Raggedy Ann and Andy is an American animated television series that aired on CBS from 17 September 1988 to 1 September 1990. Based on the dolls Raggedy Ann and Andy by Johnny Gruelle, the series was produced directly by CBS in honor of the 70th anniversary of the characters. The show was retired in 1990, although CBS aired reruns in August 1991 when Pee-Wee's Playhouse was shelved.

Jack Hanna's Animal Adventures is a reality television series about animals and their exciting adventures. This series is hosted by Jack Hanna, Director Emeritus of the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium. It is shown weekly in syndication across the country on numerous stations and networks. It is particularly popular in part because of Hanna's mainstream name recognition as an animal expert, but also because the show meets programing criteria for federally mandated educational and informational requirements which all stations must follow. Karpolla on asiaa was a popular Finnish television show with a journalistic touch. It was hosted by reporter Hannu Karpo and produced by his Pallosalama OY production company. The show ran from 1981 to 2007 on MTV3. The show also featured occasional appearances by Karpo's son, Sampo. Spoons was a comedy sketch show first broadcast on the United Kingdom's Channel 4 from 30 September 2005. In the United States, Spoons is broadcast on BBC America.
