The Debut: Dream Academy

The Debut: Dream Academy is a talent competition reality show created as an international collaboration between record labels Hybe and Geffen Records aimed at creating a global girl group. The fan-interactive project involves 20 female candidates from around the world competing in three "missions" to test their artistry. Eliminations occur after each mission, leaving 10 contestants to compete in the finale, during which the final group's members will be decided.

R U Next? (알 유 넥스트?) is a 2022 South Korean girl group reality survival show created by Belift Lab. It premiered on June 30, 2023 and broadcasted every Friday at 8:50 p.m. KST on JTBC.

A2K

America2Korea, or A2K, is a 2023 survival show created by JYP Entertainment and Republic Records aiming to create the first American girl group trained through the K-pop system. It premiered on July 13, 2023 on YouTube.

Produce X 101

A talent search event that produced a boy band in 2019 through the Mnet television channel. This is the 4th season of the Produce 101 franchise. Viewers (referred to as 'national producers') voted online for 11 members from 101 participants from various entertainment companies and individual participants in several elimination rounds. The group concept, group name and debut song are also determined by the audience.

B:MY BOYZ

B:MY BOYZ aims to create a new global boy group. The show will feature 30 talents selected from Korea, Japan, China, Thailand, and beyond, with the goal to debut as the next generation idols. The participants will compete against each other in various fields including vocals, performance, and producing, with the current top idol seniors selecting the next idols.

Boys II Planet

Boys II Planet is a survival show broadcasted on Mnet. It is a sequel to Girls Planet 999 and Boys Planet. Planet K premiered on July 17 while Planet C started airing on July 18, 2025. Boys II Planet is based on the themes and aesthetics of space. It consists of two programs, K and C, produced in Korean and Chinese respectively, with both programs following the same format for each contest. The show will create a twin group project, with both groups debuting at the same time. The final line-up will work in two different groups, K and C, and will also work as a complete group.

NCT Universe: LASTART

Finally, NCT is launching a new unit! This is SM's first pre-debut reality show to launch the last unit of NCT. It will be the first show to reveal the debut process of SM idols. Who will be selected to debut with SMROOKIES in the new NCT unit?

MIX & MATCH

"MIX & MATCH" is a 9-episode reality show featuring Team B from "WIN: Who Is Next" alongside three new trainees. With B.I, Bobby, and Jinhwan confirmed as iKON’s core members, the others fight to secure a spot in the final lineup.

PRODUCE 101 JAPAN

Japanese entertainment conglomerate Yoshimoto Kogyo and South Korean entertainment company CJ E&M will co-produce “PRODUCE 101 JAPAN”, based on the reality television talent competition franchise popular in South Korea and China. This Japanese spin-off follows 101 trainees with the intention of producing an 11-member boy band, with members selected by viewers.

SIXTEEN

The show pitted sixteen JYP trainees against one another to secure a spot in the girl group Twice. Sixteen contestants were assessed for not only their singing and dancing abilities but also their charisma and personality.

Santos Bravos

Santos Bravos is a Latin American reality series produced by HYBE Latin America to form a new boy band. The program features 16 later 17 contestants from across Latin America, the United States, and Spain, and follows their training and performances in pursuit of a debut lineup. Santos Bravos combines Hybe's structured artist training system with Latin America's cultural and artistic influences. The series follows contestants' growth within the company's global production model.

Produce 101

Produce 101 (프로듀스 101) is a reality music group survival show on Mnet. It is a large-scale project in which the public "produces" a unit group by choosing members from a pool of 101 trainees from 46 entertainment companies as well as the group's concept, debut song, and group name.

It is a differentiated new concept idol audition program that introduces the concept of "Project 7", a new concept idol assembly reinforcement audition scheduled to be aired on JTBC in October, is open to all 'men who dream of becoming top-tier idols' without restrictions on affiliation, experience, age, nationality, etc

I-LAND

I-LAND (아이랜드) is a South Korean boy group reality survival show produced by Mnet and organized by Belift Lab, which at the time of airing was a joint venture between entertainment companies CJ ENM and HYBE. It premiered on June 26, 2020 and broadcasted every Friday at 11 p.m. KST on Mnet. A second season, I-Land 2, was expected to premiere in the first half of 2022 featuring female trainees; however, on July 15, 2022, it was announced that it would be postponed. Instead in 2023, HYBE partnered with JTBC to produce R U Next? featuring trainees who would debut in Illit, signing with Belift Lab, becoming labelmates with Enhypen. On July 24, 2023, Mnet announced the second season titled I-Land 2: N/⍺, not in affiliation with Hybe or Belift Lab, featuring female trainees. The show started airing in April 2024, and is collaborating with The Black Label, with the final lineup debuting in WakeOne.
