Hong Daming is a positive and generous man. As his coffee shop and house number are both "118", the people around him gave him the nickname of "118" (or 要要发), much to his delight. Together with his wife, Liu Meimei, he makes a living by running the coffee-shop, and are well known in Tiong Bahru. Whenever someone is in need, they would always seek Daming for help. His family lives in a 3-room flat, which was built in pre-war years, above the coffee shop. He has 4 children. The children are named Hong Shunfeng, Hong Shunshui, Hong Jinzhi and Hong Yuye. Having 6 people living in a 3-room flat is cramped-up enough, yet he also rents out a room to "Ah Niang", a middle-aged man whose original name is Li Weiliang. Weiliang studied fashion design in France, but circumstances led him to simply run a stall in 118's coffee-shop, selling dumplings with the recipe that his mother left for him.

Alguien Te Mira is a Spanish-language telenovela produced by United States-based television network Telemundo. This Thriller mystery is a remake of Chilean telenovela Alguien te mira produced by TVN in 2007. Telemundo aired this series during the 2010-2011 season, from Monday to Friday over about 26 weeks. As with most of its other telenovelas, the network broadcasts English subtitles as closed captions on CC3. The series was filmed and set up in Chicago,although some scenes where created in studios in Miami. This show's jazzy, English-language recurring theme is You Still Love Me, performed by Ray Chang.
Push is a short-lived American prime time soap opera about a group of young Olympic hopefuls in training at California Southern University. It aired on ABC from April 6, 1998 to August 6, 1998. It was cancelled after 3 episodes, leaving 5 unaired, two of which, the fourth and fifth episodes, were originally planned to air. The show is produced by Starboard Home Productions in association with Great Guns Films and Stu Segall Productions, and was distributed by Perry Pictures.
Entre el Amor y el Deseo is a Mexican telenovela by TV Azteca. It premiered on 2010. The protagonists are the international stars Lorena Rojas and Victor Gonzalez Reynoso. Grand actors such as Fernando Lujan, Hector Bonilla, Alvaro Guerrero, Veronica Merchant, Paco de la O and Gina Morett also included as cast members. This telenovela will be produced by Maria del Carmen Marcos, after her successful work in La Loba. Shooting of this series will start on 9 August 2010. The series premiered on 27 September 2010, at 10pm, sharing La Loba's timeslot.
Set in 19th-century Brazil during the waning years of slavery, Escrava Isaura tells the story of Isaura, a white-skinned enslaved woman raised with the manners and education of a noble lady. Leôncio eventually tracks her down, leading to dramatic confrontations. Victorinos is a Spanish-language telenovela produced by the United States-based television network Telemundo. It debuted on June 23, 2009, replacing Sin Senos no hay Paraíso and concluded February 5, 2010. The telenovela is a remake of the 1991 RTI Colombia weekly series Cuando Quiero Llorar No Lloro, which in turn is based in the homonymous 1970 novel by Venezuelan writer Miguel Otero Silva. Ramiro Meneses, who is currently directing the Telemundo telenovela, starred as one of the Victorinos in the 1991 RTI series. The serial ran from Monday to Friday to run for over 26 weeks. As with most of its other soap operas, the network broadcasts English subtitles as closed captions on CC3. Ironically, this show was replaced by the original serial of the show, it had replaced.. Telemundo is currently re-airing the series at 12:30/11:30 PM slot

The series primarily centres around the residents of Ramsay Street, a short cul-de-sac, and its neighbouring areas, the Lassiters complex, which includes a bar, hotel, cafe, news office and park. Neighbours began with three families created by Watson – the Ramsays, the Robinsons and the Clarkes. Watson said that he wanted to show three families who are friends living in a small street. The Robinsons and the Ramsays had a long history and were involved in an ongoing rivalry.

Although there is a town in California called Sunset Beach, the show's beach scenes were shot on nearby Seal Beach. The show was co-produced by NBC and Spelling Television. Dark Shadows is an American gothic soap opera that originally aired weekdays on the ABC television network, from June 27, 1966, to April 2, 1971. The show was created by Dan Curtis. The story bible, which was written by Art Wallace, does not mention any supernatural elements. It was unprecedented in daytime television when ghosts were introduced about six months after it began. The series became hugely popular when vampire Barnabas Collins appeared a year into its run. Dark Shadows also featured werewolves, zombies, man-made monsters, witches, warlocks, time travel, and a parallel universe. A small company of actors each played many roles; indeed, as actors came and went, some characters were played by more than one actor. Major writers besides Art Wallace included Malcolm Marmorstein, Sam Hall, Gordon Russell, and Violet Welles.

The show also originally and currently focuses on the Stewart family. Home and Away had proved popular when it premiered in 1988 and had risen to become a hit in Australia, and after only a few weeks, the show tackled its first major and disturbing storyline, the rape of Carly Morris; it was one of the first shows to feature such storylines during the early timeslot. H&A has tackled many adult-themed and controversial storylines; something rarely found in its restricted timeslot.
