Popzilla

Popzilla is an animated TV series in production for MTV. with a premiere air date of Sunday, September 27, 2009 following America's Best Dance Crew. The show is produced by SCTV alum Dave Thomas. The show is an animated sketch comedy show focused on pop culture, celebrities, and famous figures. Each episode consists of about 30 sketches, each under a minute. Celebrities such as Britney Spears, K-Fed, Criss Angel and even fictional ones like Harry Potter have all been targets in some of the early sketches released on YouTube. Popzilla is animated in Flash by Animax Entertainment in order to provide for fast turnaround to cover celebrity news.

The show focused on sketches that were full of slapstick, mime, parody, and double-entendre. Thames Television cancelled production of the show in 1989 due to declining ratings and large production costs at £450,000 per show.

Ronni Ancona & Co

Ronni Ancona & Co is a comedy sketch show that aired on BBC One and began on 25 May 2007. The sketches all consisted of impressions of well-known celebrities amongst other comedy sketches of fictional characters created by Ronni Ancona. Phil Cornwell, Jan Ravens and John Sessions all starred in the series with Ancona. Bill Oddie also made a cameo appearance in the first episode. Fellow impressionist Alistair McGowan appeared in the first episode in a spoof of a perfume advertisement.

Comedy Inc. was an Australian sketch comedy television series, which ran on the Nine Network from 1 February 2003 to 26 December 2007. The series was produced by Crackerjack Productions. It first premiered in February 2003 in the new wave of Australian sketch comedy shows being launched across the free-to-air channels along with Big Bite and skitHOUSE. Since the end of the series episodes have been repeated on the Foxtel cable channel, The Comedy Channel and during 2009, reruns were shown on Nine HD before the channel's closure.

The show however didn't garner enough attention and was canceled after one season, though two of its cast members would go on to find success on the FOX sketch show MADtv.

The D-Generation was a popular and influential Australian TV sketch comedy show, produced and broadcast by the Australian Broadcasting Corporation for two series, between 1986 and 1987. A further four specials were broadcast on the Seven Network between 1988 and 1989.

The Wedge

The Wedge was an Australian sketch show created by Ian McFadyen and produced by Network Ten. The show's two seasons starred Dailan Evans, Adam Zwar, Jason Gann, Rebel Wilson, Kate Jenkinson, Katrina Mathers, Anthony Ahern and Julie Eckersley, with appearances from Julia Zemiro, Ross Daniels, Marney McQueen, Aidan Fennessy, Cori Hopper and Frieda McKenna. In 2010, Ansari, Huebel and Scheer reunited to do a skit for the 2010 MTV Movie Awards. In November 2008, The Hollywood Reporter noted the group is currently developing a feature film with Red Hour Productions, the production company run by Ben Stiller and producer Stuart Cornfeld.
