He is the son of physicists and environmental activists Jan Hollan and Yvonne Gaillyová. He currently serves as director of the Association of Non-Governmental Organizations in the Field of Addiction Risk Reduction. During his political career, he struggled with pornography addiction, which made his professional and personal life difficult.
