Just for Kicks is a 2005 documentary film about the sneaker phenomena and history. It includes self confessed "sneakerheads" like Grandmaster Caz, Reverend Run, and Missy Elliott. It tells the story of the legendary Nike Air Force One's, or as they are called in New York "Uptowns." Also about the beginning of Air Jordans. The documentary also tells the story of how hip-hop pioneers DJ Run, Jam Master Jay, and DMC had everyone wearing Adidas Superstars with their smash hit "My Adidas."

London Street Scene / Turn Out of a Fire Brigade

The first part of the film shows an actuality street scene of traffic in the Strand. Behind the traffic we can see the entrance to the Gaiety Theatre on the Strand, advertising its latest show 'My Girl'. The second part is a different film altogether, spliced onto the first and is R W Paul’s Turn Out of a Fire Brigade filmed in November 1896 in Newcastle at the Westgate Road fire station. The film date is 1896.

An independent memoir written, directed and produced by an American who worked in Ma's company for eight years, Crocodile in the Yangtze captures the emotional ups and downs of life in a Chinese Internet startup at a time when the Internet brought China face-to-face with the West. Crocodile in the Yangtze draws on 200 hours of archival footage filmed by over 35 sources between 1995 and 2009. The film presents a strikingly candid portrait of Ma and his company, told from the point of view of an “American fly on a Chinese wall” who witnessed the successes and the mistakes Alibaba encountered as it grew from a small apartment into a global company employing 16,000 staff.

In France, 3.7 million people are illiterate. "J'ai pas les mots, 8 semaines pour sortir de l'illettrisme" (I don't have the words, 8 weeks to overcome illiteracy) gives them a face, a voice, and above all, a chance. For eight weeks, seven participants from different backgrounds, all facing illiteracy, will follow an intensive learning program, supervised by trainers and coaches, and accompanied by singer Kendji Girac. Through practical, fun, and realistic workshops, they will tackle everyday challenges. Week after week, these learners will attempt to regain their independence and, above all, their self-confidence. Until the final challenge: writing and reading a personal speech in front of their loved ones.

Entrepreneur is a universal nature documentary about Finnish entrepreneurs. This warm and carnevalistic film portrays humans in the middle of ordinary everyday survival.
