Nupur Chatterji has fled from her home in Delhi, resisting an arranged marriage with a man she dislikes. She comes to Calcutta to her college friend, but as her home is not safe she takes shelter in the house of one Anjan Mukherjee. Though initially annoyed, Anjan, a bachelor and a music director cum singer from Lucknow, comes to empathise with Nupur. In this situation enters the great detective Bhanu with Jahar, his assistant, for by now Dr. Digambar Chatterji has declared a prize money of ten thousand rupees for finding his missing daughter.

Yentl en de Boer in Concert

Live registration of a concert by the Dutch musical comedy duo Yentl (Schieman) en (Christine) de Boer. They sing songs about Hogwarts, the men they knew, claiming a seat in the public transport and many other things. With musical accompaniment by the musicians Laurens Joensen, Jan Teertstra, Viktor van Woudenberg and Charlie Zastrau.

Theo Maassen: Tegen beter weten in

Maassen won two of the biggest comedy contests in the Netherlands in 1990, the Groninger Studenten Cabaret Festival(GSCF), and Cameretten. The GSCF jury was not pleased with the quality of the contestants that year, and gave Maassen the first prize, remarking he was the best of the year, but still not very good. In the following years, however, Maassen fame grew steadily, especially amongst students. Maassens style was based on stand-up comedy: Alone on stage, telling jokes and stories to amuse the public, without any musical support (a thing common for most Dutch comedians up to that point). Since 2000, Maassens shows are shown on Dutch national television, making him more and more a household name.
