Are sharks really out to get us? Are these predators mindless man eaters demonized by the popular media and movies like "Jaws"? That's the driving question behind this high-adrenaline, two-hour live National Geographic event. Shark Attack Experiment: LIVE! will beam from the world's most shark-infested location off the coast of South Africa. Here, a team of free-diving shark junkies and conservationists put their own safety on the line to run a series of hi-tech tests to separate shark attack myths from realities. Also on location during Shark Attack Experiment: LIVE! are shark attack survivors willing to tell their stories and enter the water, some for the first time since their traumatic encounters. Their objective is no stunt; their goal is to raise public awareness that the world's shark species are being destroyed by over-fishing.

Shangku Shelter

Zanskar is a remote kingdom in the northwest Indian Himalaya, where local people are snow-bound for six months of the year. About 10,000 Zanskaris live in the isolated valley. In winter, mountain passes are blocked, the summer Jeep road closes and buses stop. Two decades ago, three friends founded a ski school - to enable winter travel in the valley, improve quality of life, and to encourage young people to stay in Zanskar by helping establish a culture of mountain sports. The film tells the story of this friendship, the ski school and the development of skiing in the area. Along the way a bigger question is raised. Most recently, the federal government announced a major road building project that will provide year round access to Zanskar. How can Zanskar's wilderness be preserved? It is only a matter of time before the winter road is completed, and the "Big India" rushes in.

The Endless Summer Revisited

A documentary mostly edited together from unused footage from The Endless Summer and The Endless Summer II, this documentary gives further insight into the making and success of the original classic surf documentary. It is written, produced and directed by Dana Brown, son of the director of the first two films, Bruce Brown (who executive produced this film). This film likely will appeal only to hardcore fans of the Endless Summer films, but it does feature more of the gorgeous cinematography for which the earlier films are famous.
