Comprising six short films directed by six prominent Korean directors and commissioned by the National Human Rights Commission of Korea, "If You Were Me" deals with discrimination in the country. The directors were given free rein with regards to subject and style. Park Chan-wook's short tackles the theme of human rights abuses towards foreign laborers in Korea, telling the sory of a Nepalese woman named Chandra who spent six years in a mental hospital after she was mistakenly accused of losing her mind.

Notes for a Film About Donna & Gail

Inspired by a true story, this drama is set in 1965, not long after passage of the Civil Rights Act. The story follows the formation of local black men, particularly ex-war veterans who after the struggles become too overbearing organizes the group, "Deacons for defense", an all-black defense group dedicated to patrolling the black section of town and protecting its residents from the more violent aspects of "white backlash."
