Rap de Saia is a documentary that reports, through the voices and rhymes of the protagonists themselves, part of the historical trajectory of Female Rap in the State of Rio de Janeiro. In addition to its historical trajectory, Rap de Saia brings a collection of themes that leads us to reflect on women in today's society.

A Woman's Soul

A Woman's Soul unveils the world of Rio de Janeiro's travestites - these mythological figures who have opt for sexual ambiguity. Caricatures of women who live in marginality. The documentary shows that behind the stereotypes, exoticism and flamboyancy that involve the travestites, there are human beings with dreams, rights, ambitions and frustrations - as everybody else. The film recieved the Honorable Mention at the XXV Jornada Internacional de Cinema da Bahia in 1998. It was also exhibited in New York and at the London Institute of Contemporary Arts.

Oswaldo Cruz

Stresses the decisive importance of Oswaldo Cruz who creates Experimental Medicine in Brazil, believing that without sanitation, no undertaking could succeed. Rodrigues Alves then started the urbanization of Rio, against great interests.
