Taking us through Bangarra Dance Theatre’s spectacular growth, we follow the story of how three young Aboriginal brothers — Stephen, David and Russell Page — turned the newly born dance group into a First Nations cultural powerhouse.

We Are Moving: Memories of Miss Moriarty

Joan Denise Moriarty doggedly followed her dream of bringing ballet to every corner of Ireland. A pioneer of early 20th century Irish dance, she dared to create a uniquely Irish form of ballet inspired by her love of nature and Irish folklore. Her life's work has been largely overlooked since her death.

Stalen Neuzen

In this dance film, choreographer Krisztina de Châtel returns to Hungary, her country of birth, together with her dancers and memories. In Budapest, bridges, squares, streets, and courtyards bring the hectic energy of the city to life. The dancers resist the pace of the metropolis with powerful, physical movements. In search of peace, the group moves to the countryside, where they are confronted with another, equally compelling force: the earth itself. The journey culminates in stomping, earthy movements in which control, resistance, and endurance are central. Stalen Neuzen is the result of an intensive collaboration between choreographer Krisztina de Châtel, director Erik van Zuylen, and designer Conrad van de Ven. The film shows De Châtel's work in a distinctly cinematic context and forms a poignant portrait in which the will to control and physical discipline becomes visible and tangible.

Angel Vianna – Voando Com os Pés no Chão

Considered one of the most influential dancers of all time, Angel Vianna marked her name in history after founding the Klauss Vianna School with her husband. Taking the lead of the project, she created her own dance style, mixing body expression with classical ballet, and soon afterwards formed a transformation to dance in a course that has postgraduate lato sensu. Today, at the age of 90, she struggles to remain active and exercise her greatest passion.

Merlin Nightclub: The Last Dance

Merlin nightclub opened in 1992 in Barcelona and its medieval appearance did not leave anyone indifferent from the first day. After more than 30 years of enjoying the night with its characteristic atmosphere and varied musical selection, the castle was forced to close its doors in January 2023 despite filling the room every weekend. This video immortalizes the place through its regular customers and staff.
