When Jerry discovers that Nora has betrayed him, his anger and despair drive him to commit an act so heinous and irreversible that nothing he had experienced in combat could have prepared him for.

Requiem

When a young boy comes in to see a doctor abourt a red mark on his face, the doctor's wife welcomes him into the consulting room instead. As they talk, she offers him something to eat and then notes that his manner of eating is just like that of her previous husband, who died in prison many years earlier. It turns out that the young man had been his cell mate for a year, and he tells her the story of how her husband died. She then remembers (in flashbacks) how she had helped her first husband rid himself of his sexual repression, and how she had promised him she would marry her current husband if she were widowed. It seems her doctor-husband was a man who could remain untouched through any political climate, and was much admired by her first husband. Now that her memories have been awakened by the young man's account, she ignores the repeated phone calls of her current husband and decides to rid this young man of his own sexual repressions.

Bringing Down the House

Uptight lawyer Peter Sanderson wants to dive back into dating after his divorce and has a hard time meeting the right women. He tries online dating and lucks out when he starts chatting with a fellow lawyer. The two agree to meet in the flesh, but the woman he meets — an escaped African-American convict named Charlene — is not what he expected. Peter is freaked out, but Charlene tries to convince him to take her case and prove her innocence. Along the way, she wreaks havoc on his middle-class life as he gets a lesson in learning to lighten up.

After serving 50 years in prison, a reformed high-profile serial killer is recruited by a homicide detective to catch his own sadistic copycat. In 2003, 70 year old Charlie Sorland is conditionally released from death row for good behaviour and societal contributions after serving 50 years for serial murders. With a news story on his release and his dedication to deter others from violence, impressionable Jason Lutra sees the story and takes an unhealthy interest in Charlie which leads to Jason emulating Charlie's past. As new murders begin to occur by way of Charlie's old m.o., Detective Brent Lowe takes notice of the similarities and employs Charlie's help in getting into the mind of his own copycat killer with promises of a full pardon for the catch.
