Recorded live September 18, 2014, at Orchestra Hall during one of the opening programs of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra’s 2014/15 season, this performance features Muti leading the Orchestra and Chorus and distinguished soloists in one of history’s most powerful and inspiring artistic works. A masterpiece whose staggering influence can be seen across classical music, it concludes with the famous Ode to Joy, which calls for understanding, peace and universal goodwill. The Chicago Symphony Orchestra is grateful to an anonymous donor for generously underwriting the recording of this concert in 2014.

namie amuro LIVEGENIC 2015-2016

Namie Amuro's 15th tour (focusing primarily on her _genic album) consisted of 44 performances throughout Japan from September 2015 to February 2016. The concert was released to home video a month later in the same year. Aside from the format both the DVD and Bluray are identical content-wise and include two bonus tracks shot at Miyagi Sekisui Heim Super Arena. Filmed in October 2015, “Live At The Olympia Paris” captures Melody Gardot in concert at the legendary Belle Époque era venue in the French capital. The show focuses primarily on songs from her most recent album “Currency Of Man” and 2009’s “My One And Only Thrill” with a couple of surprise tracks thrown in for good measure. Melody Gardot’s performance is both intimate and emotional and her band are at the top of their form.

Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers: Live at Rockpalast

Frontman/guitarist Tom Petty, guitarist Mike Campbell, bassist Ron Blair, keyboardist Benmont Tench and drummer Stan Lynch opened their taping at WDR Studio-L in Cologne with the rarity “Surrender.” A cover of Chuck Berry’s “Jaguar and Thunderbird” was performed next, followed by “American Girl.” Other well-known originals filling out the setlist include “Listen To Her Heart” and “Breakdown.” The taping concluded with back-to-back covers of Bobby Troup’s “Route 66” and The Isley Brothers’ “Shout.”
