The Very Eye of Night

Dancers, shown in photographic negative, perform a series of ballet moves, solos, pas de deux, larger groupings. The dancers glide and rotate untroubled by gravity against a slowly changing starfield background. Their movements are accompanied by music scored for a small ensemble of woodwind and percussion.

Keratin

Keratin is a collaboration with the London Sinfionetta, visually responding to Gavin Higgins' Seven Welsh Folk Songs: I. Dacw 'Nghariad i. The film tells the journey of a mating of elements, two bodies grieve over a lost third: a child separated from their womb. The three bodies bound by their keratin, regain connection in a wombic journey which spiritually networks the three into a fused collective body.

The Keeping of Bees

“The Keeping of Bees” is a short informative dance film that brings light to one of the many effects human behavior and climate change has had on a very important species; bees. Bees are responsible for pollinating a very large portion of our vegetation and food. It is estimated 1/3 of every bite of food is a product of bee pollination. Utilizing audio from NPR Weekend Edition with Scott Simon, we learn through Frank Aletru the many struggles beekeepers are facing today by combining dance, humor, and education.

MONEY is a dance film that explores the monotonous cycle of corporate 9-to-5 life. The dancers represent employees in a workplace that twists into a corporate nightmare, exposing the rigid and dehumanizing nature of the corporate world. Through movement, the film highlights the tension between control and rebellion, questioning the structures that define success and productivity that the workplace outlines for many everyday. with a sharp and unconventional movement vocabulary, MONEY challenges capitalist ideals and the way they shape daily life. The film breaks traditional boundaries, using dance to portray a system that demands conformity while suppressing individuality. Its rebellious undertones push against societal norms, making more room for fun and play.

AKIN

AKIN examines the tension between collective synchronicity and the hidden inner reality of the individual. One protagonist describes her overwhelming feelings, while three other figures appear as aesthetic mirrors of her inner states. In a world that demands perfection and smooth functioning, everyday life continues like a mechanical system even when the inside has long overflowed. The bodies increasingly come under pressure until the structure discharges in synchronous, yet faulty movements. The encounter with an antagonist opens a moment of silent perception and raises the question of whose emotions are actually at work in the space. AKIN reveals a raw, deeply human choreography between adaptation and authentic expression.

Capturing Avatar

Capturing Avatar is a feature length behind-the-scenes documentary about the making of Avatar. It uses footage from the film's development, as well as stock footage from as far back as the production of Titanic in 1995. Also included are numerous interviews with cast, artists, and other crew members. The documentary was released as a bonus feature on the extended collector's edition of Avatar.

Walking with the Enemy

Regent Horthy is the leader of Hungary and a German ally, but his favorable standing with Hitler changes as the war comes to an end. Unable to stand the grief the Queen/Kalyani loses her mental equilibrium. Goddess Kamala manifests as Rupasi, the daughter of Omkarananda. Virodhananda and his son Tribhanga are the incarnation of Narad and Narayan on earth. The kingdom goes through difficult times. Omkarananda is arrested and Rupasi goes to meet Bastabesh/Indranath who is attracted to her. Rupasi takes refuge in Birodhananda’s house to avoid Bastabesh’s advances. Birodhananda is interested in getting his son Tribhanga married to Rupasi. Bastabesh goes after Rupasi/Kamala who blinds him. Finally the gods perform their miracle and a repentant Bastabesh is restored his sight and kingdom.
