Candyjam

Candyjam is a whimsical, animated collaboration by 10 animators from four countries: David Anderson (England), Karen Aqua (USA), Craig Bartlett (USA), Elizabeth Buttler (USA), Paul Driessen (Holland), Tom Gasek (USA), Joan Gratz (USA), Christine Panushka (USA), Joanna Priestley (USA) and Marv Newland (Canada).

Scavengers

Pinpin, a small tinkerer made of found objects, and Matilda, an origami yellow-billed magpie, reside in a backyard full of abandoned items. One day, an alluring bottle cap flips over the fence and into their yard. The tenacious tinkerer and the mischievous magpie both decide they must have it for themselves, initiating a rivalry where they test their limits for the treasure they have desperately searched for.

One World, One Voice

An extraordinary music special is the climax to One World week. The brainchild of ex-10cc drummer Kevin Godley, it features the first true global composition involving rock stars, classical musicians and artists from all over the world. Godley and a film crew toured the globe in just 44 days with a 'chain tape', asking musicians to add a new theme or idea. Artists include Sting, Dave Stewart, Peter Gabriel, Clannad, Lou Reed, Leningrad Symphony Orchestra, Afrika Bambaata and the Kodo Drummers.

Dolly Parton Rockstar Global First Listen Event

Dolly Parton has joined forces with some of Rock music’s most legendary artists along with today’s biggest stars for her first-ever Rock album, Rockstar. Inspired by her 2022 induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, Dolly teamed up with an all-star roster of musicians for the thirty song collection which includes nine original tracks and twenty-one iconic Rock anthems.

The betrayal of Hilversum

Documentary about the role of public broadcasting during the German occupation during the Second World War. A number of public broadcasters adopted a cooperative approach, allowing them to be used as a propaganda apparatus for the Nazis. An attitude with very far-reaching consequences.

Jusqu'au bout

"Jusqu'au bout" is dedicated to the hunger strike, in the Ménilmontant church in Paris, by fifty-six Tunisian workers to obtain their work permits. After a sequence showing the recruitment of workers in Tunisia itself, other immigrant workers testify to the harshness of their living conditions in France. Underlining the continuity between the anti-racist struggle and the fight against exploitation, the film follows the hunger strikers to victory, celebrated collectively in an unbridled dance.
