Video Weavings is a link between the modern (video) and the ancient (weaving) technologies. Video Weavings are based on poetic mathematical rhymes, or algorithms, visualized in real time on the warp and weft of video's horizontal and vertical scanning electron beams, color phosphors, plasma cells, and LCD pixels.

Transubstantiation Loops

Taken from a live multi 16mm projector performance Sam Hamilton and I do. The Loops are from a film By Campbell Farquhar called "5 Second Exposure". This dates from about April 2006 and the performance has changed somewhat since. It uses up to five 16mm projectors, turntables, glass, and sonic and celluloidic manipulation.

The City

The City is a short film that takes audiences on an unscripted visual journey across New York City over the course of a year. A spotlight is shown on seemingly ordinary moments in our lives, revealing their true beauty and importance. An orchestral score guides viewers across seasons as they explore New York for what feels like the first time. Although The City takes place in New York, what makes it special is the people. The authentic moments that just happen to take place between towering skyscrapers and 21 bridges.

Meta Ekologi

Meta Ekologi was made in 1979 and is based on a performance by Sardono W. Kusumo and his group. They are shown in a pool of mud in a Jakarta slum, with the local population watching as the artists cover themselves entirely in mud. It's a response to an attempt at dialogue with the ecology of land and water. Humanity expresses its feelings through the body, trying to become one with the universe.
