Decade of Death

This highway scare film produced by the Highway Safety Foundation in 1971, "Decade of Death", is a retrospective of the organization's 10 years of gory, shocking social guidance films which aimed to promote traffic safety and driver responsibility through the display of bloody and horrific footage of traffic crashes.The Highway Safety Foundation made driver scare films such as "Signal 30," "Mechanized Death," and "Highways of Agony" that intended to encourage drivers to drive responsibly and with consideration of the risks and consequences. It was the organization's belief that crash footage, while horrific, was the best way to convey the importance of driving safely.

Times 25

This PSA-style film from the late 1970s titled “Times 25” warns of the dangers of alcoholism, how to recognize the problem, and how the issue affects driving and leads to fatal accidents. Produced by KGO-TV in association with The California Traffic Safety Foundation, the film features clips of real-life accidents as well as staged scenes of profiles of people who can be characterized as “alcoholics.” Additionally there was collaboration with the California Highway Patrol, General Motors Corporation, International Driving School, Western Laboratories Inc, and The San Francisco Police Department in the making of the film.

This film "Cycle Logic Cycle Safety" (1967) was produced by F-M Productions for the U.S. Air Force in conjunction with the Los Angeles Police Department. It focuses on motorcycle safety and the importance of proper training, awareness, and equipment in preventing accidents.

Motorcycle Safety: Helmet Effectiveness

It is a nostalgic yet practical guide aimed at older pedestrians, comparing the simpler, slower-paced traffic of the 1930s with the fast-moving, complex traffic conditions of the present day. It emphasizes how aging affects mobility, vision, and hearing. It provides important safety tips, such as avoiding jaywalking, using marked crosswalks carefully, staying alert, facing traffic on roads without sidewalks, and wearing light-colored clothing at night for visibility. Ultimately, it delivers a hopeful message that with awareness and adaptation, aging individuals can continue to enjoy life safely despite the modern world’s faster pace.

Young Robbie, a keen footballer and a railway enthusiast, is persuaded by his big brother to go through a hole in a railway fence on to the track for some reason. His laces become caught on the tracks and he has an accident so serious that he will never play football again. A film for showing to eight to eleven-year old children and their parents, which points out the folly of breaking railway fences and trespassing on the line, and illustrates the immediate dangers.
