Overview

Joe wins a contest and is promptly fleeced out of his winnings by some con men. When the stooges go to recover his money, the bad guys convince them that they can get rich by posing as children and becoming the wards of a millionaire. The boys go along with the plan, not realizing that the "millionaire" and his pretty niece are in on the scam and are planning to knock them off. The stooges foil the plan and recover Joe's money.

No Days Off for Death” is a film that depicts an altered rendition of our own world to explore themes of grief and over corporatisation, the narrative takes place from two perspectives that ultimately come together; one of a nameless Grim Reaper (only referred to as “Death”) who only wants to take a long overdue holiday from their endless mundane work in the corporate underworld and a grieving man (Max) contemplating committing suicide after a breakup leaves him at the end of his rope. When Death is sent on a job to see that Max goes through with his plan, they decided to try and convince Max to keep on living, an altruistic act Max reluctantly engages with even if death just wants their holiday.

Born to be Sold is Paper Tiger Television and Rosler's acerbic and witty interpretation of the notorious "Baby M" case, in which a natural — "surrogate" — mother and father of a baby fought each other for custody of the child. Rosler assumes various roles of the participants in the controversy, from the baby to the sperm, from the lawyer to the judge, as well as the two women in the case. Reconstructing the story from its trial by media and the court transcripts, Rosler views "surrogate" mother Mary Beth Whitehead's actions as an attempt to defy the identity assigned by her class and gender, and sees the verdict favoring the Sterns as an endorsement of the father's phallic right, his jurisprudential entitlement. Her analysis demonstrates how political, class and ideological systems are played out on the body of the woman.
