Babes in Toyland

A young girl becomes lost in a department store during the Christmas shopping rush. The frightened child is comforted by a department store Santa Claus who tells her a tale of storybook characters brought to life - of Tommy Tucker's love for the lovely Jane Piper and the cold-hearted villainy of evil Silas Barnaby. Through the girl's dreams, the viewer is transported to Toyland. Based on the classic Broadway operetta by Victor Herbert and Glen MacDonough, this was its second live television special production, with some new cast members and some returning.

Hawa

When eight sailors onboard their fishing trawler find a mysterious girl mid-sea, ill fortune falls upon the boat as they don't catch any fish the next few days. The fishermen try to make it back home, although the sea has other plans for them.

Ollie Dee and Stannie Dum try to borrow money from their employer, the toymaker, to pay off the mortgage on Mother Peep's shoe and keep it and Little Bo Peep from the clutches of the evil Barnaby. When that fails, they trick Barnaby, enraging him.

Cinderella

Zezolla and her family live mid 20th century, where fashion is practically everything. As her father is won over by a selfish woman named Claudette, Cinderella must keep her new step-mother from murdering the only family she has left. Add in an anti-social mermaid literally living in a cave, a bored prince with an ear for rock n' roll, and the glamour of the 1950's and one'll find that this story can't grow old.

And indeed, they soon succeed in catching the deer, but it is protected by a miraculous falcon, which Ctirad slaughters. Only the falcon is actually Kovlad himself, the lord of the Copper Mountain, which hides immense treasures within itself. Because his leg is injured, he cannot return to his kingdom. Rastislav will help him, however, even at the cost of Ctibor returning to the tribe before he does and bidding for Milica's hand. Of course, Kovlad will repay him for his help with a gift of immense value. She gives him a steel sword that will make him the most valiant warrior.

The strength of the caliph's son's love for the inaccessible princess convinces the wise people around him, even the princess's nanny, to help him show the truth hidden in the dream and meet his love.
